David's Harp

My latest masterpiece, "David's Harp." This piece is a harmonious blend of inspirations, evoking the grandeur and mystery of Erebor, the majestic home mountain of the dwarves in "The Lord of the Rings," the solemn beauty of an old mystical church, and the timeless aura of an ancient temple. Each element intertwines to capture a sense of both history and fantasy, creating a unique and spiritually enriching experience.

The intricate textures and dynamic composition of "David's Harp" invite viewers to explore the interplay of light and shadow, symbolizing the melodies that resonate from the strings of the harp. The color palette includes black, white, and gold, each carrying significant meanings in ancient Egyptian culture. Black represents fertility and new life, white symbolizes purity and sacredness, and gold signifies the divine and eternal, often associated with the gods and the afterlife.

I created this piece while listening to and praying Psalm 13 for two months: "How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart?" These words deeply resonated with me, and I aimed to capture the emotional depth and spiritual longing expressed in the psalm through the intricate layers and textures of "David's Harp."
